The Inner Critic:

As we move our gaze from the outer to our inner journey ,we are often

initially confronted by a part of ourselves that we can come to know as the

inner critic or super ego.

"This is a source of much pain and difficulty; it criticizes, judges, compares,

condemns, blames, and attacks us and others, mercilessly, and constantly”

[A.H. Almaas]

We can however learn to effectively defend and separate ourselves from this

onslaught. This gives us both tremendous relief and opens a doorway to the

depths of our inner explorations.

Teachers: Leah Chyten is a teacher of the DA who works in various locations in the US.

She is also a novelist, mother, and grandmother.

Michael Chadwick teaches the DA in the U.S and in the U.K. He grew up in a Jewish

home in Manchester, England and lives with his wife and daughter in California. Michael

is also a musician and lover of comedy.

The Diamond Approach is a path that addresses our sincere longing to know and

explore the nature of who we are, and to integrate this knowledge into a life of maturity

and wisdom. The path draws on modern psychology and ancient spiritual traditions. It

is a path of deep personal inquiry, and the belief that the knowledge we seek dwells

within. The journey seeks no particular state, but the revelation of truth as it arises

within each of us.

The Diamond Approach is a path that addresses our sincere longing to know and explore the nature of who we are, and to integrate this knowledge into a life of maturity and wisdom. The path draws on modern psychology and ancient spiritual traditions. It is a path of deep personal inquiry, and the belief that the knowledge we seek dwells within. The journey seeks no particular state, but the revelation of truth as it arises within each of us. It invites us to enter the heart of mystery.

The Path of the Diamond Approach Mystery dwells in the doorway between the known and unknown. The well of the mystery, compelled by a love for that which calls to be known, can only be known through each of us. What we discover are the hidden jewels of our inner nature.

This is the first event out of a series of free online events of the Diamond Approach that will be offered in Israel. Each event will focus on a different topic and will include a talk, a brief meditation, an experiential exercise, and time for discussion.

Our group includes DA teachers in training, practitioners and long time students, as well as novices.

Love

Kabir says: I will tell you The secret of love.
The weaver does not weave it,
nor is it grown in the fields,
yet love is for sale in the market. Go there now:
king or beggar, anyone can afford it,your money stays in your pocket.
What do you exchange for love?
Kabir says: lose no time, cut off your head
and take love in return.

Diamond Approach Weekend Israel
Experiencing Presence
Spirituality is frequently seen as something set apart from our daily lives, something we do at special times in special places. The truth of spiritual life, and the work of our time, calls us to engage in inner work that can lead us to a full and deep realization in the midst of life. Yearning to know and live from the essence of our humanity brings us to inner work. Personal, embodied inquiry into our experience can bring us into direct contact with our True Self.
When we open and allow this deeply intimate engagement we have the opportunity to find our reservoir of true courage, joy and freedom. This weekend will include presentations, meditation, and personal exploratory exercises; practices that support our contact with Presence. Noticing old patterns and beliefs, we learn how obstacles become the doorways to experiencing the richness and spontaneity of our depth.
This weekend was taught by Barbara Knyper, M.A., a teacher of the Diamond Heart®, a contemporary path of inner work (synthesized by AH Almaas) which combines traditional spiritual methods with modern psychological knowledge. Barbara has been engaged in this work for 21 years, and has a rich background in healing and spiritual traditions.
